Visit to Peru!

Note our hair.  Brett was a whole inch taller with his poof... 

Most of you knew that Brett had to go to Peru for 15 days the middle of April.  While he was out there his employers decided Peru was going to be a better place for us to live instead of Panama City.  They also decided it was good for the wife to be ok with this decision.  So, Brett flew me out to spend the last weekend with him.  You can only imagine what my students thought when I said I'd be out of town because I was going to Peru for the weekend...  

 

This is an outdoor mall that sits on a cliff that looks out to the ocean.  In the right corner of the mall you might be able to see a Tony Roma's. Brett likes to include in this picture there's a Hooters behind where we took the picture.

I got SO excited to see CLEAN supermarkets! I made Brett stand next to the aisle to give you a scale to measure from. 

The little resort we stayed in was just a little outside of Lima.  All the little cabanas were decorated in bright colors to display the Peruvian colors.


 

I really just wanted to include this picture to show that there ARE horses in Peru and I intend to ride them while I'm there... This was taken at the resort we went to called El Pueblo.  They were only giving rides to little children, I really was tempted to push the little kid off the horse and gallop away but Brett wouldn't let me.  

Peruvian water slides, also at the resort we stayed in.  The slide was quite fun.  It was here we finally were brave enough to test out the waterproof-ness of our camera, curtesy of Mammy and Pappy Jones.  

Yummy octopus we had one fine dinner.  Yes mom, we ate the WHOLE thing and we liked it!
