Christmas was spent in Kansas City with our little family, very low key, and lots of fun memories were made. A few highlights from our Christmas season:
Eleanor took it upon herself to improve our Christmas tree decorations on a daily basis.
Santa visited
Like the ornaments on the tree, our Nativity Scenes never seemed to stay in the same place for more than a few hours...
Polly Pocket and her crew seemed to visit the Nativity Scene frequently
I found pieces in all different areas of the house: inside shoes, bags, socks, closets, bathtubs, etc. Whenever asked on the matter, Eleanor always placed the blame on little Nichy.
Come to think of it...he does look a little suspicious...
Speaking of Nichy, our Jolly old Saint Nick' now sits up on his own and is getting himself in the crawling position! He looks like he'll be mobile any time!
We got to spend a lot of time with Daddy after finals were over. Brett still is studying for his Step 1 Boards that he will take the beginning of January, but he has been able to take time out to spend with the family which has been a blast!
Santa left Eleanor a balance bike and her very first Barbie Pony toy that was not a hand-me-down from her Aunts' and mother's old supply of toys. She hasn't put them down as of yet. And yes, that's the cow in our Nativity Scene in her hand, she slept with them on Christmas Eve.
Nicholas couldn't contain himself with all the wrapping paper scattered around.
We were lucky to have a White Christmas this year so of course after presents and morning naps, we ventured out to make a snowman with the neighbors.
It is hard to reflect on the last year and not see God's influence in our lives. We are thankful for the blessings we have been given with a healthy family, comfortable home, and supportive family members. Merry Christmas!
