Gateway to the Artic National Park

Hunting for fish, hiding from bears, relaxing in the Alaskan sun, eating freeze-dried meals and playing with Pappy and the siblings on a completely vacant 7 mile lake up in the Artic Circle of Alaska about sums up our first part of the United States of America trip

Below: the Otter

How many of you can say you've been to the "Northern Most Denny's in the World"?? Don't order the oatmeal...
Below: Louie, Brett and I were not tired at 11:30 at night (probably because of the lack of darkness) and went out adventuring for bears and fish

Travelled from Lima, Peru to the Artic Circle in Alaska in one day...below: day 4 without showers...
Moments in the sun worthy of taking your breathe away...
Below: some of the smaller fish that were caught...

Above and below: some of the larger fish we caught...
Below: Eye candy...
Then men in Fairbanks, Alaska eating at the Salmon/Halibut Fry. My husband looks like a blueberry...

Alaska is beautiful! A place I think worth visiting but I don't know if I'd be able to handle the 24 hours of darkness in the wintertime out there... But the trip was well worth everything. Thanks Paps!
