Just one of the many highlights from our trip back West was to do the Dirty Dash. My bff, Crystelle and her husband Chris were able to break away from their extremely busy schedules and do the race with us which was such a blast! Man, I miss the Grants! Next year, LOTOJA you two! Brett's sister, Mindi, also braved the race and did such an impressive job! I remember running her first 5k with her about 2 years ago and all I can say is how amazingly she has improved since then.
It was also so fun to get to see my siblings that live out West right now for school. Julia and her girlfriends drove up from AZ, Louie did the race with Julia's friends, and Anthony got a group of his man friends to face the mud challenge. Way to represent Jones Family!
I'll have to say the highlight of the race was Chris swan diving into the final mud pit. Brett had a close second by entering the pit with a cannonball that successfully splattered the rest of us. Brett and Chris seemed to revert back to 6 year olds during the race...seriously... Just look at their faces. Makes me nervous for children... I would also like to note how Brett's wearing the same shirt both his pictures. There was not a spot of white on him after the race...
Anyway, it was fun to get to see Brett's family and spend a lot of time doing things with them. (football games, movies, dinners, bbq's, games, guitar hero, etc) We love traveling west and can't wait to see all of them again!
Cool new background on your blog. We had so much fun!!! And yes, Brett and Chris definitely kept things more entertaining. I keep telling Chris how fun it was to run again with Steph :) Did you guys finally manage to get the dirt out of all small body crevices? Ha, ha, it took Chris quite a while...up the nose, in the eyes, etc.
