Grandma Debbie

We spent last weekend celebrating the life of Brett's mom with family and loved ones. I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to spend these last few years getting to know her and build good memories with Brett and her. When we found out we were pregnant last year, I remember she had just gotten the news that she did not have that much longer to spend here on earth. I think she really fought to be sure she would live long enough to get to meet our little Eleanor and spend a few last months with her family. While I was pregnant, she and I had good times comparing body aches and pains all the while Brett had to listen and take care of the both of us :). I know she was in a lot of pain towards the end of her life but she really made the effort to spend as much of her "healthy" times with us and baby Eleanor, making lasting memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

Debbie, we love and miss you... Thank you for raising such an amazing son and for sharing your family with me. We will always remember you...
