Hunter Safety

With Stephanie gone this weekend visiting Julia in Arizona I decided to do the most manly thing I could think of... A Hunter Safety course. It actually isn't the most manly thing I could think of, but I had been putting it off for some time now and decided to finish the two day course. Below are a few observations from my experience.

I saw that hunting is one of the few, if not only, sports where you can be very large and overweight, out of shape, and drink a lot of alcohol and still be at the top of your game; each one of the instructors outweighed me by at least a 150 lbs.

You're not considered an expert unless you have a moustache.

You might feel a little out of place if you're not a 12-year old boy or one of their dads.

All in all it was an enjoyable course and I passed the exam with flying colors. I now have my Missouri Hunter Safey patch and pin and look forward to the upcoming Spring Turkey Hunt.
